GES Orders Final Verification for Staff Removed from Payroll After 2025 Nationwide Audit. The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed Regional Directors to alert certain staff members whose salaries were previously halted during the 2025 nationwide payroll audit to prepare for a final verification exercise. According to an official communication issued on March 12, 2026, GES indicated that the exercise is part of ongoing efforts to ensure accuracy and accountability in the public sector payroll system. The directive was signed by Smile Dzisi, Acting Deputy Director-General for Management Services. NTC Reschedules Start Date for 2026 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE) The National Teaching Council has announced the rescheduling of the commencement date for the 2026 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination.  The update is intended to inform candidates and other stakeholders about the revised starting date for the national examination. In a notice issued on 16th March 2026, the Council indicated that the examination, which was initially scheduled to begin on Monday, 23rd March 2026, will now commence on Tuesday, 24th March 2026. Reason for the Rescheduling The change follows the declaration of Monday, 23rd March 2026 as a statutory public holiday. As a result, the start of the examination has been moved by one day to ensure the smooth administration of the exercise.
