Youth Employment Agency Clears Majority of Arrears, Assures Beneficiaries of Final Payments Soon.

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) has formally announced that the payment of allowances to its beneficiaries has been successfully executed, with a significant number of recipients now receiving all outstanding arrears in full.

According to the Agency, while the majority of beneficiaries have been completely paid, a section of them currently has only one month outstanding, either February or March. This situation is not uniform across all beneficiaries, as it stems from differences in deployment dates and engagement timelines under the various programme modules. Consequently, depending on an individual’s specific period of engagement, some beneficiaries have received full payments, whereas others are awaiting the final installment.

Validated beneficiaries who are yet to receive payment alerts have been advised to remain patient. The delay, as explained by the Agency, is linked to temporary technical challenges associated with the banking payment platform. Management has assured that these issues are being addressed and that all pending payments will be completed in due course.

In addition, the Agency disclosed that deployment and engagement activities under the Arabic Module are currently ongoing. To support the smooth commencement of allowance payments for participants under this module, a validation exercise is scheduled to be conducted within the month.

The Chief Executive Officer together with Management of YEA has reaffirmed their strong commitment to ensuring that beneficiary allowances are paid promptly and consistently. Efforts are continuously being intensified to improve operational processes, enhance efficiency, and eliminate delays in the payment system.

The Agency further extends its sincere appreciation to all beneficiaries for their patience, understanding, and continued dedication throughout the process.
