The Management of the National Service Authority (NSA) has formally announced the release of postings for a total of 18,416 trained teachers, marking a key step in preparations for the 2026/2027 National Service Year. The announcement was made on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
This deployment covers qualified graduates who have duly completed accredited teacher education programmes at recognized Colleges of Education across the country, making them eligible for national service assignment.
All affected personnel are required to log onto the Authority’s official website: https://gnsa.gov.gh/home access the designated portal, and follow the outlined procedures to verify their postings and proceed with the mandatory regional validation process.
The Authority has confirmed that national service for the 18,416 trained teachers will officially commence on Monday, May 4, 2026.
The regional validation exercise is scheduled to run from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Friday, May 15, 2026. Management has therefore urged all prospective service personnel to ensure strict compliance within the stated period to secure their placements without complications.
Furthermore, the NSA reminded the public that under the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), every Ghanaian citizen aged 18 years and above who has completed an accredited tertiary institution, including universities and Colleges of Education, is legally mandated to undertake national service to the State.
