The Ghana Education Service has issued comprehensive instructions to all Regional Directors regarding the submission of transfer grants and staff allowances for the 2026 budget year. 

This directive forms part of the Service’s routine financial planning and is aimed at ensuring that all eligible staff benefits are properly documented and processed.

According to an official communication dated 9th April 2026 from the headquarters in Accra, the exercise covers a range of entitlements, including transfer grants and overtime allowances for security personnel.

Management has tasked all Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Education Offices (MMDEs) to:

Compile and submit records of all qualified staff

Establish a validation committee under the leadership of the Director

Conduct thorough verification and approval of all applications before submission

  1. I applied reposting from Tano South municipal to Sunyani municipal but they made me sign an undertaking form so can I still apply for transfer grant?
