GES Releases Updated Directives on Teacher Recruitment Exercise

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued a formal administrative update on the ongoing teacher recruitment exercise, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to a transparent, credible, and merit-based recruitment process across the Service.

Management emphasized that the entire recruitment lifecycle—from application processing through selection, posting, deployment, and final engagement—is undertaken strictly in accordance with approved government recruitment protocols and remains completely free of charge. No applicant is required to make any financial commitment, facilitation payment, processing fee, or monetary inducement at any stage of the exercise.

The Service further reiterated its zero-tolerance policy on extortion, fraud, and unauthorized financial solicitation. Teachers applying for recruitment who receive calls, messages, or approaches from individuals falsely claiming to be GES officials and demanding money in exchange for employment, preferential consideration, or favourable posting arrangements are strongly advised to disregard such fraudulent solicitations and immediately report the perpetrators to the Ghana Police Service or any appropriate law enforcement agency.

Key Operational Directives for Successful Teachers

▪️ Regional Posting Exercise

This administrative exercise will include documentation, credential authentication, records validation, staff processing, and all statutory formalities required for their formal engagement into the Ghana Education Service.

The Ghana Education Service expressed its sincere appreciation to all applicants for their patience, cooperation, and professionalism throughout the recruitment and selection process. Management further reaffirmed its commitment to upholding transparency, accountability, procedural integrity, and fairness throughout every phase of the national teacher recruitment exercise.
