CAGD Confirms Scheduled Payment of Arrears for Affected Workers.
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has reaffirmed its commitment to settling salary arrears owed to affected workers within the education and health sectors, assuring beneficiaries that payments have already commenced and will be completed in line with the approved payment arrangement.
According to the Department, the arrears relate to outstanding payments dating back to August 2024 and will be paid in phases over a four-month period as part of measures put in place to ensure the smooth settlement of all outstanding obligations.
The approved payment schedule is as follows:
• May 2026 – 4 months’ arrears
• June 2026 – 4 months’ arrears
• July 2026 – 4 months’ arrears
• August 2026 – 4 months’ arrears
CAGD further indicated that the first tranche of payments is expected to be completed by Friday, 29th May 2026, while the remaining tranches will subsequently be processed and paid according to the approved schedule.
The Department emphasised that all payments will be executed systematically to ensure that affected beneficiaries receive their arrears within the stipulated period.
CAGD also expressed appreciation to all affected beneficiaries for their patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout the process, acknowledging their continued support while efforts are being made to complete the payments.
