UCC Sandwich Programme Academic Calendar for First Semester, 2026/2027 Academic Year.

The University of Cape Coast has released the official academic timetable for the first semester of the 2026/2027 Sandwich Session.

The calendar outlines all major academic activities that will guide students through the semester, including registration, lectures, examinations, and the closing period.

It is designed to help both fresh and continuing students plan their academic work properly, meet deadlines, and move through the semester in an organised manner.

Arrival of Fresh Students

Newly admitted students are expected to report to campus on Saturday, 5th September, 2026. This marks the beginning of their academic journey, where they will settle in, become familiar with the campus environment, and prepare for formal academic work.

Online Registration Period

Online registration will take place from Friday, 3rd July to Saturday, 11th July, 2026.

Students must complete this process within the stated period to officially activate their academic status for the semester. Early registration is encouraged to avoid technical delays and last-minute challenges.

Commencement of Online Lectures

Online lectures begin on Monday, 13th July and end on Friday, 24th July, 2026.

This phase allows students to start academic work remotely before physical classes begin, helping them build early understanding of their courses.

Reporting to Campus for Face-to-Face Sessions

Students are expected to report to campus on Saturday, 25th July, 2026.

This marks the transition from online learning to in-person academic activities, where students begin attending lectures and tutorials physically.

Orientation and Matriculation

Orientation will be held from Monday, 27th July to Tuesday, 28th July, 2026.

This programme introduces fresh students to university rules, academic expectations, and available facilities to help them adjust smoothly.

Matriculation will be completed on Saturday, 1st August, 2026, officially confirming students as members of the university community.

Face-to-Face Lectures and Tutorials

Lectures and tutorials for all students will run from Wednesday, 29th July to Wednesday, 13th August, 2026.

This period focuses on direct academic engagement, classroom interaction, and detailed teaching of course content.

Course Adjustment Deadline

The deadline for adding or dropping courses is Wednesday, 29th July, 2026.

After this date, no further changes will be allowed, so students must finalise their course selections early.

Revision Period

Revision is scheduled from Thursday, 14th August to Sunday, 16th August, 2026.

This short period allows students to review lessons, revise key topics, and prepare adequately for examinations.

Examination Period

End-of-semester examinations will take place from Monday, 17th August to Friday, 28th August, 2026.

This is the main assessment stage where students are tested on their academic performance.

End of Semester

The semester officially ends on Saturday, 29th August, 2026, marking the completion of all academic activities for the session.

Conclusion

The academic calendar provides a clear structure that guides students throughout the semester. By following it carefully, students can manage their time effectively, stay organised, and achieve better academic results.
