GES Releases Funds for 2026 WASSCE Practical Examinations
The Ghana Education Service has officially released funds to Senior High Schools (SHSs) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTSs) across the country to facilitate the organisation of the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination practicals.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, explained that the financial support is intended to fully cater for all practical examination requirements.
The Service noted that the funding will cover essential materials and other necessary logistics to ensure that the practical components are conducted effectively.
It further emphasised that this intervention is aimed at promoting a smooth and well-structured examination process, enabling students to concentrate on their studies without additional financial pressure on parents and guardians.
Authorities at the regional, district, and school levels have been directed to ensure that the funds are utilised strictly for their intended purpose in order to maintain transparency and efficiency.
Management also assured stakeholders that strict monitoring measures will be implemented to oversee the proper use of the funds and to uphold standards in the administration of the examination.
The Service expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their continued cooperation in strengthening quality education and reiterated its commitment to supporting student achievement.
