GES Labels Online Rumor About Flooded WASSCE Scripts as False
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has told the public to ignore an online post claiming that heavy rains on Monday, June 30, 2026, ruined WASSCE scripts and would force students into taking the test again. Authorities are warning people not to believe the hoax.
The deceptive image features forged logos from both WAEC and the GES. It falsely reports that rising waters ruined the test booklets and that officials are organizing a brand-new exam schedule. The counterfeit release was marked with a July 1, 2026 date and claimed to come straight from top management.
Education officials want families and candidates to completely overlook the fake message. They stated that accurate details about the current examinations will only be shared via verified WAEC or GES accounts.
Instead of worrying, candidates should focus entirely on their upcoming tests. Anyone who sees strange updates should double-check the facts with their school heads or look directly at the government's verified online platforms.
